Kings Island Ride Crew Pin Designs
The ride crew design series was a personal project of mine in the Spring of 2022 and 2023. Each design is unique but is also unified via its framed structure. This project presents a strong emphasis on typesetting, typeface choice, and visual hierarchy.
Final compositions in this project are supposed to communicate different characteristics of the actual rides’ design and their theming. The final product of this project consisted of multiple designs for a variation of digital uses, and hundreds of printed pins that are worn by ride operators around the park of Kings Island.

Sketch Process

Digital Process
The main changes that were taking place involved how the type was set around the circle, the visual effects being used, and color. Had to also take into account effects, type, and color for the final print. Below are some examples from the 2022 set of pin designs.
